Application
My gel press ons are designed to be reusable, and durable. With proper preparation and application, your set can last over 14 days and can be worn again and again.
1. Prepare Your Cuticles
Gently push back your cuticles and remove any excess skin from the nail plate. This step is essential for a clean, natural look and long lasting adhesion. Please take your time with this.
Important: Avoid water for at least 2 hours before and after applying your nails, as moisture can weaken the bond and cause lifting. I recommend putting on your nails before going to bed.
2. Buff the Nails
Using the heart shaped buffer, gently remove the natural shine from each nail. This creates a slightly textured surface that helps the glue or adhesive tabs grip properly. Avoid using a harsh file on the natural nail, as it can be too abrasive for your natural nails. Only use it to shape your natural nail ends or to file the edges off a press on that is too big.
3. Clean Nail Surface
Wipe each nail with rubbing alcohol pads included or an acetone based polish remover to remove oils, dust, and residue. A clean nail surface helps prevent lifting and ensures longer wear.
If you want your wear time to be shorter (3 to 7 days) you can skip steps 2 and 3!
4. Apply your Press ons
Apply a thin, even layer of nail glue to your natural nail, avoiding the cuticle area. And apply some on your press on nail too.
Position the press on at a 45° angle starting near the cuticle, then gently press it down toward the tip of your nail.
Hold it firmly for 15-20 seconds while applying even pressure to prevent air bubbles.
Using Adhesive Tabs
Follow the same steps, but replace the glue with an adhesive tab. When applied correctly, glue tabs can last 1-3 days and are perfect for temporary, damage-free wear.
Make sure the adhesive tab fully covers your natural nail bed for the best hold <3
