Removal & Reuse
Safe removal is just as important as proper application. When removed correctly, your natural nails stay healthy and your press ons can be reused many times.
When using glue please wear your press ons for at least 8-10 days before removing them.
1. Soak your Hands
Fill a bowl with warm to hot water, a small drop of soap, and an oil (olive works especially well).
Soak your nails for 10–15 minutes to help loosen the adhesive. This method works for both nail glue and adhesive tabs.
2. Lift Gently
After soaking, use a wooden cuticle stick to gently lift around the edges of the press ons and dip them back in the water, repeat for all nails until they start to loosen up.
If the nail slides off easily, you can carefully remove it. If it still feels secure, do not force it. Apply a little more oil around the edges and soak for another 5 minutes until it loosens.
Tip: You can also start removing them with the same steps after you take a shower.
3. Clean your Nails
Once the nails are removed, gently buff away any remaining glue from your natural nails. Wash your hands and finish with cuticle oil to nourish your nails.
4. Reusing Your Press on Nails
To reuse your press ons, you need to remove any leftover glue from the back of the nails.
You can use:
- the "file tool" I include in the application kit
- or an e-file
Please do not leave your press ons in the water once you remove them, dry them off. Once they are clean and completely dry, store them in a protective container until your next wear.
